Mission Statement

The Georgia State Defense Force (GSDF) Band performs music to promote GSDF soldiers' morale and esprit de corps, promote the interests of the GSDF in the state of Georgia, and foster support of its citizens.

Scope of Activities:

The band will:

• serve as a musical force multiplier for the Commanding General by providing musical support for troop functions, concerts, protocol functions, and military ceremonies;
   
  
• provide direct music support for strategic outreach for Soldiers, their families, recruiting, public affairs, and community relations;  
  
  
• play appropriate music to enhance GSDF soldiers' morale, esprit de corps, and will-to-succeed in their areas of operation; 
  
  
• provide musical support for Georgia citizens by performing concerts and ceremonies.
