The 5BDE, GSDF, is dedicated to the needs of the State of Georgia and
its citizens. We train to assist during emergencies and other times of need.
We train to perform the tasks most needed to provide security, safety and
comfort to effected areas and residents.

The 5BDE is recruiting. We need soldiers. Prior service or not, you can be a
part of this outstanding unit. If you want to enhance your skills and be of

Mission Statement:
When called upon by the State of Georgia via the Governor or The Adjutant
General, to provide the best trained Response Teams to address the
situation.
Training:
Drill the first weekend of every month unless changed to accommodate
holidays, resources or other schedules.
Attendance Requirements:
Ten (10) weekend drills per year.
Annual Training Weekend
Renew First Aid / CPR annually
Standard Training: Basic Training (IET for non-prior service)
First Aid / CPR
Shelter Augmentation / Management
