Welcome to the Georgia State Defense Force 1st Medical Company Homepage.

The Georgia State Defense Force (GSDF) 1st Medical Company needs licensed and non-licensed medical personnel to support other GSDF units, the Georgia Guard and to provide field medical assistance in communities in various scenarios.

GSDF 1st Medical Company functions in a military environment, and will be trained to be proficient in the following areas:

• land navigation
• CPR/field first aid
• perimeter security and security support duty
• radio communication
• military customs, courtesy and protocol
• disaster shelter augmentation
• family assistance (to families of active duty troops)

   • DDSs
   • DVMs
   • NURSE PRACTITIONERS
   • NURSES
   • EMT
   • CMA/CNA
   • OTHER LICENSED MEDICAL PRACTITIONERS
     
     These persons will be trained to support the GSDF mission, functioning within their own professional competencies, as well as learning field military skills.
